The Eyes Of Tomorrow

Broken Iris formed in 2005 with definite direction and style. As an all acoustic band, they recorded a 4 song demo with Jay Trammel at Fatcat Studios. Their focus was on building good songs, beautiful vocals, with the added uniqueness of the cello. They had a short run with this lineup until they lost two members. Through their friend Jack, Steve Avery and Danny Cocke joined the band. Both Steve and Danny had learned a lot from their past band experiences and their years in the studio writing and recording demos for other local bands.

In January of 2006 the core of Broken Iris had been formed. The group consisted of Adam, Danny, Steve, Chris and Alex. Tony doesn’t perform live with the band but is still fully on board with the project as a song-writer, concept guy, and the author of a novel that the latest record is based around.

They took half of 2006, again with Jay Trammel, to record the latest album, “The Eyes of Tomorrow”. They did things a little backwards from most bands; writing most of the album in the studio and then learning it in the practice room after it was complete. After about 8 months of practice, sparingly playing shows and the addition of our newest member David Christensen on Keys and guitar, the band really gelled.

The band also been really fortunate to gain the support of local promotion teams like Nor-cal Promo, Supergiant Productions, and Hyp Promo. They are now working closely with fans and their street team to spread the word, gain attention locally, and across the world via the internet.The band spends about a full work day everyday on the internet to get as much exposure as possible. The band is very excited about the future of the band, and extremely appreciative of the opportunity to meet new people and play music with each other to make their dreams a reality.
